Anyone that has ever lost a front tooth understands how dental issues can make one sensitive about their smile. Brian Maixner, a waiter at the Doo-Dah Diner in Wichita, Kansas suffered from extreme dental issues; he had lost several teeth and those that remained were, in some cases, infected. Brian wanted to fix his teeth, but lacked the funds necessary to treat the issues. That All changed one day due to a very generous patron.
This is the staff of the Doo-Dah Diner, Brian Maixner is the guy in the red shirt.
Brian had struggled with dental issues since childhood.
All of that changed, incredibly, when Maixner waited on an out-of-towner who happened to stop by the diner. Attorney Fred Boettcher told local reporters that he struggled with similar dental problems as a child.
So when Fred Boettcher saw Maixner’s smile, he decided to do something really special for the waiter.
Boettcher went to Doo-Dah Diner manager Timirie Shibley and asked if he could tip $25,000 on top of his meal to make sure Maixner could get a new set of teeth.
“No matter what religion you might be or whether you even believe in an afterlife, the way to be satisfied in your life is to be kind to everybody and be as generous as you possibly can be,” Boettcher told the local news.
After several trips down to Boettcher’s dentist in Ponca City, Oklahoma; the change in Brian’s smile is amazing!
What a difference this act of kindness has made in the life of this man
